Who We Are
3 Rivers International is a Christ centered ministry that exists to encourage and mentor pastors and church planters, to train and assist incarcerated men and those transitioning back into the mainstream of life, and to carry the gospel of Jesus to the unreached and uncontacted peoples of the world.
3 Rivers was founded in 2024 by Scott and Melissa Cagle and is registered as an official 501c3 non-profit Christian organization in Knoxville, Tennessee. All gifts and donations are tax deductible. We are fully funded by private donations from church and individual partners.
Who We Are
The French Broad and Holston Rivers meet to form the Tennessee River, which flows through Knoxville, Tennessee, where this ministry is headquartered. In the same way, the Rio Negro and the Solimões rivers converge to form a third, the mighty Amazon River.
As a 20-year-old college student, Scott spent the summer on mission on a small island in the Amazon River in Brazil. It was here that God called him to full time ministry. After 40 years of church ministry, the Lord placed a fresh vision in his heart. In John 7:38-39, Jesus says, “Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them. By this He meant the Spirit.”
